Today I launched a Microsoft Copilot alternative that offers different features and puts more focus on privacy.
It's called Catch Up – Outlook.

I got the idea a while ago while working on my other project, Catch Up – Slack.
Slack recently announced major changes to their conversation history rate limits for Slack apps not part of their marketplace.
This change effectively cut off the legs my Slack bot had just grown.

But without crying more about that, I got to work thinking about new opportunities.
It came to me that with the small success I've had summarizing messages in Slack for people, maybe I'm the "summary wizard." That got me thinking about other things to summarize.
And one thing popped to mind: "Outlook."

I know Outlook already has Copilot, but I've heard mixed opinions on it — and recently the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) raised concerns about its data policies.

Knowing all this, I started building a Copilot alternative with a bigger focus on data privacy and easily customizable AI summaries.
